Patience & Diligence.

That's my new mantra.

I just sort of wish the patience part came easier.

I'm kind of tired of being patient.

But if you think about it,

Being impatient doesn't make it any better.

It doesn't make time go faster.

It doesn't make things happen quicker.

It just makes you more miserable.

Okay patience, let's do this.

First things first.

I feel strongly about exclamation points.

I think they are overused.

But in written communication,

I often feel the need to use such expected punctuation

to portray to others that I am

enthusiastic or sincere

about what I'm saying.

So the question for me is:

How can I convey my intentions

without giving in to this pervasive punctuation?

Welcome to 2012.

While sitting in church today,

I decided that it's going to be a good year.

The good year.

So I've decided to live the abundant life this year.

According to President Monson, it's easy as ABC.

Have a Positive Attitude.

Believe in Yourself.

Face Challenges with Courage.

I also thought of a ton of resolutions.

But now I can't remember them.

All I know is

it's going to be a good year.

And after all the wonderfulness that will be this year,

I get to get a big present at the end.

Good looking present, huh?
